This was the karriere.netzwerk 2025
Under the motto “Reach for the Stars”, USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten offered room for networking and career opportunities on 15 October 2025. At the annual event career.network, approximately 500 students obtained information on job opportunities and met numerous USTP graduates among the exhibitors who reported on their individual career paths in media, digital business, digital technologies, social sciences, and health sciences.
Georg Deix, who completed the bachelor degree programme Healthcare and Nursing ten years ago, represented the Lower Austrian health agency (NÖ LGA) at the career.network: “I did internships myself and know how important personal exchange is. The career.network facilitates this very exchange – and at eye level, too.”
At the booth NÖ LGA, interested persons received detailed information on the health professions as well as valuable insights into internships and application processes.
Real Insights, Career Advice, and Practice-Oriented Framework Programme
Not only the talks at the information stands provided insights into the time after graduation:
In panel discussions, graduates of the study programmes Creative Computing, Media Management, and Media Technology offered valuable career advice from practice.
Students of the bachelor degree programme Healthcare and NursingPLUS received information on current and future developments through pitches by companies from the healthcare sector.
A special highlight of the event was the Sky broadcast van. As practical relevance is particularly important to USTP, the students had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with real broadcast equipment and technology for live streaming up close and experiment with it themselves – an impressive insight into the professional media world.
At the AK Young Café, the educational experts of AK Niederösterreich and the labour union GPA offered advice regarding funding and aids, work relationships, entry-level wages, and the application process. “We are here to give the students information on internships, among other things – such as, which regulations apply, what wages are like, and which labour law aspects need to be taken into account. Depending on the type of internship, there are different framework conditions that we want to tell students about”, says Raoul Rausch, Youth Secretary at GPA.

On 16 October 2024, the career fair “career.networkzwerk” took place at USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten under the motto “Landing the Job”.
Almost 600 students were there to obtain information on job and career opportunities and establish valuable contacts. A total of 73 exhibitors from the areas of media, digital business, digital technologies, social sciences, and health sciences offered an opportunity for students and external stakeholders to engage in networking and exchange information.
The fair offered an exciting and diverse programme.
The pitches of “Heute für die Pflege von Morgen” painted a picture of current and future developments in the companies of the healthcare sector for the students of the bachelor degree programme Healthcare and NursingPLUS.
Panel discussions with graduates of Media Management and Media Technology provided insights into the time after graduation and into possible career paths.
At the AK Young Coffee Corner, the guests engaged in productive conversations with the educational experts of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labour (AK NÖ). In a pleasant coffee house atmosphere with pistachio croissants and bagels, questions concerning funding, aids, work contracts, entry-level wages, and the application process itself were asked and answered.
Many lotteries by various companies as well as the free shoot for application photos with styling corner were a great plus.
A big thank you is due to this year’s sponsors AK Young, AK Niederösterreich, and NÖ Landesgesundheitsagentur.

Under the motto "10 years of supporting each other," we celebrated the 10th anniversary of karriere.netzwerk on October 18, 2023. Together, we looked back on a decade of successful networking. With 72 exhibitors and nearly 700 interested students and recent graduates, karriere.netzwerk 2023 was a great success! We were especially excited to welcome first-time participants such as KRONEHIT, ORS Group, and Rettet das Kind.
In addition to fair highlights like the panel discussions "Success Stories" and "Alle machen Karriere," as well as the "Pitches from Today for the Care of Tomorrow," the AK Young Café contributed to a lively atmosphere with alcohol-free cocktails and vegan cookies for visitors.
