Service and Competence Center Human Resources and Finance

The USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten University’s Service and Competence Center Human Resources and Finance combines the central areas of Personnel Management, Recruiting, Personnel and Organisational Development, and Finance and Controlling. Our team ensures efficient and coordinated support for all full-time and part-time employees and for the Higher Education Board.

Human Resources is responsible for all staff members of USTP and is divided into the following areas of activity:

Recruiting: design, optimisation, and implementation of recruiting processes as well as support for team coordinators and employees throughout their entire career at USTP
Personnel Development: organisation and implementation of high-quality, modern (in-house) education and further training for lecturers, researchers, and members of the service units
Organisational Development: mentoring of change and development measures in the organisation of USTP
Personnel Management: implementation of payroll accounting and ongoing settlement of working hours, leave days, and business trips for all staff members of USTP
Personnel Controlling: provision of meaningful performance indicators and reports for the implementation of the personnel strategy

The Finance section supports the Higher Education Board in the following areas:

Financial Accounting: responsibility for orderly accounting and guarantee of financial transparency at USTP
Budgeting: planning, coordination, and implementation of the entire budgeting process at USTP
Project Accounting: responsibility for the correct financial billing of projects including cost control and application of funds
Controlling: implementation of cost accounting as well as analysis and processing of relevant financial data to support the strategic steering of the institution
