International Office

The International Office supports and advises students, lecturers, staff members, and researchers in all internationalisation efforts, thus making a major contribution to the implementation and realisation of any international activities.

Outgoing students receive individual guidance in all matters related to study semesters and internships abroad and when it comes to selecting the right partner institution. Moreover, the International Office offers advice and information on funding options and grant programmes (e.g., Erasmus+, Marshall Plan stipends, Fulbright stipends, etc.).

Incoming students, on the other hand, are supported in choosing the right study programme and receive guidance and advice throughout their stay. What is more, every incoming student is allocated their own student “buddy”, and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) organises diverse cultural activities.

Both teaching and administrative staff can turn to the International Office if they have any questions pertaining to the management of (Erasmus+ funded) stays abroad. The team also offers advice and support in the planning and implementation of international mobilities for training and teaching purposes. In addition, the International Office is responsible for welcoming international guests – together with the departments involved – and for supporting international events. In collaboration with the International Coordinators and the Section Head International Relations, the International Office promotes the further development of USTP’s internationalisation endeavours.

The negotiation of partnership agreements is another item in the International Office’s portfolio of responsibilities. Depending on the respective international funding programme, the International Office supports and advises the departments in applying for international funding. Moreover, all organisational units have the possibility to turn to translation@ustp.at with their translation and proofreading needs. Professional translators process these assignments in a timely manner and help lecturers and researchers to improve their English-language offers.

The International Office helps to implement the objectives of the E³UDRES² European University Alliance. The team is part of the E³UDRES² Mobility Group and is involved in the planning and implementation of diverse (mobility) formats.
