Terms and Conditions for the Lottery Draw

General Information

By participating, participants agree to the terms and conditions of the lottery and to the related details of this lottery draw. Depending on the number of completed surveys, the lottery draw will run until 18 August 2025. A total of five prizes will be awarded. Participants residing within the European Union will receive a goodie bag if they win. The prize shall be sent by post. Winners who have their residence outside the EU will receive an adequate digital substitute prize. No additional costs will be incurred by any winner. Winners will be selected at random. Participation in the lottery draw is only possible via the provided survey form.

The Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH reserves the right to review compliance with the terms and conditions, especially with regard to eligibility (e.g., minimum age) and the accuracy of personal information, and to exclude participants from the lottery draw or to revoke and reclaim a prize without replacement if unfair practices are used or attempted (e.g., incorrect, incomplete, misleading information, or multiple entries unless explicitly permitted).

A prize presented for illustration purposes may not be identical to the prize awarded. Variations in model, colour, or similar aspects are possible. The Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH or a sponsor may select an item of equivalent value to the one presented.

The Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH reserves the right to change the course of the lottery draw or cancel it in full or in part at any time without prior notice and without giving rise to any claims. If such a cancellation is caused by the behaviour of a participant, the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH may seek compensation for damages from that participant.

Eligibility

All natural persons interested in a Joint Master degree at Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH aged 18 and older are eligible to participate. Participation is only permitted if it is legally allowed in the participant’s country of residence.

Winners will be notified via email. If a winner does not respond within 14 days after the notification has been sent, the prize claim will expire and a new winner will be selected.

Any personal taxes, duties, fees, or consequential costs shall be borne by the respective winner. For shipments outside the EU, additional fees (e.g., customs duties) may apply and must be covered by the winner.

Data Protection

As the responsible data controller, the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH, Campus-Platz 1, 3100 St. Pölten, datenschutz@ustp.at, takes data protection and confidentiality very seriously. It complies with applicable national and European data protection regulations. The data of winners may be passed on to cooperation partners or third parties to enable the delivery or handover of the prize.

Data processing is carried out exclusively for the execution of the lottery draw, particularly for notifying winners, sending prizes, and, if applicable, for publication in accordance with these terms and conditions.

After the prize distribution, all participant data (especially email addresses) will be promptly deleted. The data of the winners will be retained for legal reasons for three years.

You have the following rights:

• Right to access your personal data
• Right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object, without affecting the legality of the processing carried out prior to the objection

• Right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, the competent supervisory authority.

Final Provisions / Liability

Prizes are non-transferable. Legal recourse and cash alternatives to the prize are excluded. The Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH assumes no liability, to the extent legally permitted. Moreover, the Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften St. Pölten GmbH cannot be held liable for material or legal defects in prizes provided by third parties, sponsors, or partner companies.

Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is St. Pölten, Austria.
