c-tv - Creative Content Channel

c-tv is a platform for high-quality moving image productions with a focus on current topics, innovative formats, and creative experiments. The university project considers itself as a lab for technology-driven innovative formats and offers room for working with the medium of film and video – across platforms and relevant for the young target group.

The content includes narrative and experimental videos, short films, pilots, clips and animation, music videos, VJ performances, and ER (electronic reporting) and studio productions. The focus is on target group-specific relevance as well as high-quality technical/creative implementation.

The programmes are executed by students of the bachelor degree programme Media Technology and the master degree programmes Digital Media Production and Film, TV & Media – both within and outside of the context of teaching. c-tv thus combines teaching, practice, and students’ own creative initiative.

The social media channel continuously accompany the programme and expand it by adding further perspectives. They document production processes, show impressions from the set, and make creative workflows visible. Behind-the-scenes reports, teasers, and short formats create a sense of proximity to the audience and provide insights into the content’s development.

c-tv Konferenz

The c-tv Conference is the annual specialist event of the university project c-tv. Ever since its launch in 2009, it has been the platform for exchange, innovation, and current developments in the moving image and film production at USTP.

The focus is always on hot topics that move the industry and research: artificial intelligence, streaming ecosystems, virtual production, technological innovations, the international format, and the promotion of young talent.

The Conference is both a specialist event and a live production: Its design, organisation, and implementation are largely in the hands of students of the study programme Media Technology. In this way, the event itself becomes a practice-oriented space for training and production.

As an on-site event at the USTP campus with accompanying livestream, the c-tv Conference is addressed to filmmakers, media specialists, industry experts, students, young talents, and other interested persons.

Keynotes, best practice examples, workshops, and panel discussions provide an opportunity to obtain information on the latest trends in moving image production and to engage in exchange with international experts.

If you have any questions or want to learn more about collaborative projects, please do not hesitate to contact FH-Prof. Mag. Dr. Rosa von Suess (Head of c-tv) and her team via email.
