Accommodation for International Degree-Seeking Students
USTP supports international students with information and guidance on accommodation options in St. Pölten. However, USTP cannot book accommodation for you and cannot guarantee a room. Please find detailed information below.
Typical monthly costs in St. Pölten vary depending on accommodation type and availability. As a general orientation, many student rooms are approximately EUR 350–500 per month (excluding possible extra fees and deposits).

Student homes
The main student homes close to USTP are Campus Domus and WIHAST.
If you stay in a student home, you usually need to bring or buy your own bedsheets. In St. Pölten, you can buy bedding and household items in stores such as Möbelix, Mömax, XXXLutz, JYSK, or IKEA (Vienna area).

- Furthermore, the student home has a number of common rooms (recreation room, room for storing bicycles, laundry).

- 2 students share 1 flat consisting of 2 single rooms, 1 shared kitchen with dining corner, 1 shared bathroom, 1 shared toilet.All rooms are equipped with cable TV access and internet access. The student home WIHAST provides rooms for students with special needs upon request.
- Furthermore, the student home has a number of common rooms (fitness room, table tennis, bicycle storage, TV room and common kitchens). Garage and laundry are charged extra.
Private accommodation
Some students prefer private rooms, studios, or shared flats (WG). Offers may appear at short notice and require quick action.

Living in Vienna (commuting option)
Some students choose to live in Vienna due to the commuting distance. Please consider:
- higher rent costs compared to St. Pölten
- additional transport costs and daily commuting time
- if you live in Vienna, residence permit/visa matters and appointments are typically handled in Vienna (not in St. Pölten)
