CDHSI Senior Researcher Dr. Eva Turk Appointed Associate Professor at the University of Maribor
The Center for Digital Health and Social Innovation (CDHSI) is proud to announce that our Senior Researcher Eva Turk has been awarded the title of Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Medicine.
This academic appointment recognizes her outstanding contributions to public health research, her leadership in digital health innovation, and her long-standing commitment to education and evidence-based practice.
Shaping Public Health in the Digital Era
Eva Turk is internationally recognized for her work in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and digital health systems. At CDHSI, she leads the research group “Inclusive Digital Community Care.”
Her work goes beyond individual users. It examines how citizens, healthcare professionals, organizations, and policymakers collectively shape how digital transformation impacts health, care delivery, and social participation.
In an era where digitalization is rapidly redefining healthcare systems, her research provides important guidance to ensure that (digital) innovation remains inclusive, equitable, and socially responsible.
International Leadership in Health Technology Assessment
Eva Turk’s influence extends far beyond academia. She holds prominent leadership positions on the global stage, including:
- Board Director at Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi)
- Co-Chair of the WHO Europe Strategic Partnership Initiative for Data and Digital Health at World Health Organization Europe
Through these roles, she actively contributes to shaping international strategies on digital health, data governance, and health technology evaluation.
