Young Campus: A Look to the Future

As every year, the Young Campus 2026 was an opportunity for young people aged 14 to 20 to take a look behind the scenes of the latest research, digital technologies, and future topics. The programme included workshops on computer game development, TV production, and podcasting. The participants also got to design their own fitness workouts.

Impactful research for tomorrow: To achieve this, it is important to integrate future generations as well. This is exactly what USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten does with its summer uni called “Young Campus”. At this year’s event, USTP once more gave young people a chance to enjoy an exciting and diverse programme. In practice-oriented workshops, the youngsters acquired new skills, developed creative ideas, and implemented them in their own projects.

“A week full of inspiration, teamwork, and fascinating experiences made the young people aware of their own potential – with guidance from USTP experts. At the same time, they gained interesting insights into the Campus St. Pölten and got to use the labs and practice rooms with their modern equipment and latest technologies”, says Young Campus organiser  Angelika Czedik-Eysenberg of USTP’s Center for Research Cooperation.

Hands-On Experience in Future Topics

In the workshops, the adolescents developed their own computer games, designed a live TV broadcast, produced podcast episodes, and discussed current fitness trends. In addition, they designed individual workouts as well. They were accompanied in this by USTP students and experts from research and teaching.

Open Doors for All

The Young Campus is USTP’s summer uni for young people between 14 and 20 years of age. It is part of the initiative “campus.experience”. Under this title, USTP opens its doors to all interested parties and invites them to explore the campus and everything it has to offer.
