By completing an additional semester at HAW Hamburg and writing a second master thesis, the students can earn the degrees of both Diplom-Ingenieur*in of the USTP – University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten and Master of Arts of HAW Hamburg.

Dedicated to your chosen specialisation, the masterclass is a central component of your studies. Participants implement projects in small groups of 8 to max. 14 students. The groups are supervised by the masterclass head and an external industry expert.

The masterclass makes up about a third of your entire study period.

You can select various masterclasses (specialisations) during your studies:

• Animation & Visual Effects
• 3D Audio & Sound Design
• Film & TV

For your application, you can submit a variety of projects that demonstrate the manifold facets of your work. These could be projects of your bachelor programme, projects from your professional work, or even private projects that match your chosen masterclass. Be creative and opt for projects that showcase your skills, interests, and your aptitude for the study programme of your choice.

Since its foundation, the USTP has established itself as a renowned institution for media education. Our field of expertise spans from media technology and media production to media management. Our higher education institution is a central hub, connecting students, lecturers/researchers, and companies of the media sector.

Numerous labs and studios allow for a practice-oriented education. The Campus Media are open to students of all degree programmes.
