The master degree programme Digital Marketing & Communication provides you with all the tools you need: Our students acquire the relevant competencies in the fields of marketing, public relations, advertising, event management, digitalisation, and online marketing that are essential for a company’s economic success.
Digital Marketing combines different forms of online marketing including social media marketing, content marketing, mobile marketing, and search engine optimisation while using digital technologies and tools at the same time.
The objective is to present and sell a product, a service, a company, or a brand in the best way possible, to increase its popularity, or to reach a relevant target group as fast and cost effectively as possible.
This education in keeping with the times paves your way for a career in renowned national and international agencies as well as in the marketing, social media, public relations, and event management divisions of prominent companies.
Acquire in-depth knowledge in digital/online marketing, social media marketing, event and live marketing, advertising, public relations, communication design, advertising art, and direct marketing.

We want to promote the interests of our students in the master degree programme Digital Marketing & Communication as best we can. To this end, we offer 5 specialisation options, and the students need to select 2 of them:
- Advertising
- Public Relations
- Event and Live Marketing
- Direct Marketing
- Communication Design and Advertising Graphics
The courses in the master degree programme Digital Marketing & Communication are organised in blocks. This improves the compatibility of studying and part-time work:
- Duration: 4 semesters
- Block teaching: full-day (Monday to Wednesday), mix of online and on-site teaching
- Use of digital tools in teaching
- Language of instruction: largely German, occasionally English
